Christmas is around the corner and hopefully you are making your list and checking it twice! I like to get my shopping started nice and early so that I can keep an eye out as I shop and grab that perfect gift. This year, I’ve put together a list of some of my favourite things no matter who you’re shopping for. I’m still scouting so keep checking back as I update this list over the next few weeks! Happy Shopping!
Gifts that Give Back
These are probably my favourite kinds of gifts. The ones that allow you to support a cause and give back during a time of a year where we often focus more on getting. I did a whole post last year on Gifts with Purpose and easy ways to give back during the holiday season. I’m still looking for new ideas so bookmark this post too!
For the Beauty Addict
Benefit Cosmetics I’m Hotter Outdoors 3 Piece Gift Set ($40) – A $90 value, this gift set includes full sizes of the top-selling Roller Lash curling mascara and award-winning Hoola matte powder bronzer, plus a mini Gimme Brow+ volumizing fiber gel for full, natural-looking brows on the go. The collectible tin also makes an adorable container for keepsakes.
Sephora Favourites: Treat Yourself, Self Care Essentials ($71) – Explore Sephora’s bestsellers with this set of three full-size, two mini-size, and eight deluxe-size beauty products. Prep your skin with brands like Youth To the People and Sol de Janeiro, amp up your hairstyle with Ouai and Living Proof, and complete your look with brands like Too Faced and Charlotte Tilbury.
Vent Blow Dry Bar – take the work out of styling for any special occasion with a blowout from Vent Blow Dry Bar. Get your hair styled and enjoy a glass of bubbly while you get spoiled. Gift cards available for the perfect gift or stocking stuffer.
For the Traveller
Samara Jewellery Case ($65) – this minimalist travel jewellery case holds all your precious pieces and is made with premium microfibre vegan leather. The size is perfect to carry in any luggage and to keep your jewelry safe and organized.
Travel Packing Cubes ($21) – If you’re an uber organized traveller like I am then you will LOVE travel packing cubes. Not only do they keep your luggage organized and looking extremely neat but I’m a big believer that they prevent you from overpacking!
Puressentiel Cordless Ultrasonic Diffuse & Go Diffuser ($49.99) – I mean who wouldn’t want to have a diffuser to carry and use in those stale hotel rooms! This cordless diffuser dispenses essential oils in a fine mist through its ultrasonic diffusion system. It can be used anywhere and the batter, rechargeable through a USB cable, last for up to 40 hours with a 3 hour charge.
For the Techie
PHILIPS Wake-Up Light with Coloured Sunrise Simulation ($109) – This is a product that I personally use every day. Living in a condo means I don’t get a ton of light in my space. The Phillips Wake Up Light simulates the sunset and sunrise to wake you up or put you to sleep in the most natural way. It also comes with 2 alarm setting, soothing sleep/wake sounds, radio function and the ability to use it simply as a nightlight. Can’t say enough good things about this not so-little gadget!
Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Instant Camera ($79.98) – Everyone loves the instant sharing that comes with Instagram but what about instant printing of photos? Its why I love the Instax mini camera because it allows you take fun, retro styled photos and then print them right on the spot! Perfect for parties and special occasions and a variety of colors to choose from!
Common Craft The Nomad Turntable ($139) – I love anything old school so when I saw this compact, 3-speed turntable, I was instantly in love. Not only can you can enjoy your vinyl record collection, the Nomad’s Bluetooth function allows you to stream music from another device and plays it through its 2 built-in speakers. Portability is a breeze with the modern suitcase design and easy-carry handle. I’m mildly obsessed with the pink one but it comes in black too.
For That Special Someone
Matching Peace Collective Sweaters (Price varies from $35-80) – why not rep your favourite city as a couple and give back to a great cause? Every garment purchased provides 5 school meals to a child in need. Use my code MILI416 for 15% off your purchase!

Matching Pajamas from the Gap – ($40-70) – For those couples who are planning to spend alot of time indoors, matching pajamas are the way to go. Gap pajamas are my favourite, super soft, super cozy and really good quality. This season the collection is just super adorable with all the plaid!
For the Health and Wellness Type
Weighted Blanket ($199)– aside from the weather getting colder, weighted blankets have been known to help with promoting a deeper sleep and encouraging the feeling of reduced anxiety. As a troubled sleeper, this one is definitely on my list.
Saje Wellness Kit – Diffuser & Essential Oils ($100) – whether for enhanced relaxation, better sleep or just an uplifting environment, this Wellness kit has everything you need! A great deal too since some diffusers at Saje will cost you $100 alone.
Hoame Meditation (Price varies from $20-200) – Hoame is Toronto’s premier destination for meditation and wellness classes including light and dark meditation, a salt cave and infrared sauna. I have been dying to try a class. Purchase classes or a gift card to take or give a break this busy season.
Goli ACV Vitamins ($25/bottle) – I for one HATED taking apple cider vinegar until I discovered these gummies. Not only delicious but they are packed with other benefits like B12 and superfoods like pomegranate. Use my code THECITYISMINE for 5% off your purchase.
For the Kids In Your Life
Best Books for Kids (Price varies from $10-40)– I love giving books to kids. As someone who loves reading it’s a gift (see what I did there) to be able to share the love of reading with the next generation.
Lego Sets (prices vary from $30-150) – This is a really easy way to get me to play with your kids. LEGO was one of my favourite toys growing up and I love how it inspires creativity and imagination in kids. And who can say no to building the world of Harry Potter!
For the Homebody
Pajamas ($40-80) – Like I said, pjs from the Gap are by far my favourite, I own way too many for my own good. What I love most about them is that they double as lounge wear, so if I’m planning to have a relaxing day or night at home then I can stay in them all day, and who doesn’t love THAT.
David’s Tea 24 Days of Tea ($40)– I got gifted with this last year, because clearly I’m a homebody, and what I loved most about it was the amount of different teas I got to try! I discovered what I really like and because the the samples of each tea are perfectly sized, there is little to no waste.
Tea and/or Coffee Mugs ($10-40) – What’s tea without a good mug? Indigo carries some of my favourite selection of mugs. Beautifully crafted, unique and sometimes hilarious! They have high end ceramic mugs for the true connoisseur and simpler every day mugs for everyone on your list.
For the Cocktail Connoisseur
Gilded Rim Coupe ($28/glass) – Half the fun of having a cocktail is admiring the glassware. I am a self proclaimed glass snob so I can appreciate a beautifully crafted piece. I can definitely see these displayed on my bar cart. Made with 14K gold and handmade in the Czech Republic, these are sure to be a stand out piece to add to any collection.
Red Cask Whiskey Gift Set ($63.57) – The ultimate gift for the whiskey and hockey lover. This gift set comes packaged in a hand crafted wooden crate with the Great One’s sweater number and a collector hockey puck. Available for purchase at the Wayne Gretzky Estate Winery & Distillery and The Wine Shop stores.
For the Fashionista
Daniel Wellington’s Iconic Link Collection ($265-295) – The latest collection from Daniel Wellington is gorgeous! It’s modern take on a classic design featuring luxurious metal bracelets with three piece links in a variety of finishes and face colors/sizes. There’s one for everyone!
Mejuri Jewellery (price varies by piece) – probably one of my favourite jewellery shops ever. Their pieces are super versatile and delicate yet so unique – like their croissant collection. Their rings can be made into the perfect little stacks and the range between simple and more ornate is incredible.
Aldo Accessories Umoani Purse ($54) – this one may or may not be under my tree as we speak. Neutral and simple for every day with a leaopard print for a little extra adventure. The outfit combinations with this purse are endless.
For the Hostess with the Mostest
3-5 Set Ready Made Decorative Table Set ($198) – perfect for the person who loves to host parties. This ready to go kit gets your home and dinner table ready for parties from 6-12 people. Each kit comes with a main tablecloth, tablecloth extensions, cloth napkins, place card holders, decorative lights and decorative accessories. I use the decor accessories all around my condo!
For those Stockings
Sephora Stocking Stuffers (prices vary) – Travel size version of all your favourite beauty brands in make-up and skincare.
L’Occitane Hand Creams and Soaps ($15-50) – L’Occitane’s hand cream is the best. It doesn’t leave your hands greasy, no overpowering smell and you actually feel moisturized. You can buy their hand creams in trios or individually to mix and match but their holiday gift sets are hard to beat.
Sephora Face Masks ($8/each or Buy 3 and get 1 Free) – I personally use them at least once week and they are great. They target a variety of skin concerns, are incredible priced and are perfect for including in all your stockings.
Phone Lens Kit – with 3 lenses ($14) – Know someone who want to upgrade their photography skills while only using their phone? This set comes with three clip-on lenses including a wide angle, macro and fish eye lens.
